For One More Chance

I press my hand
against your chest
to softly stop you
from getting any closer.
Can’t you see
I’m trying to save us both?
It’s awfully hard
and I can’t take much more,
but it’s what you want.
Isn’t it?

  6. OK. So I’m in a bit of a sentimental mood. Preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Thinking of my parents and siblings as I wait for my children to appear. Watching Oprah’s interview with John F. Kennedy, Jr. AND half a bottle of champagne….Hey-it’s a holiday! And somehow I venture upon your fabulous blog….I will have to bookmark and send comments when they can be coherent and not tear-stained. Happy Thanksgiving!
