Leaves

Crimson and orange red leaves
fall from the sky
haphazardly.
Dropped by a flower girl
at the wedding of autumn and winter.

The wind dances and spins
trying to convince us all
it’s better than summer.
We pull our scarves tighter, closer
in an attempt to ignore it all.

Oh I liked this one!! You have added personality to seasons in a way that is identifiable. I do not own a scarf, but I could see myself pulling it tighter in full agreement! I will have to come back.
